This piece could be restored if it was remounted with a correct piece of K43 wood and a sight hood. These rifles were originally designed by the Germans to be sharpshooting rifles. I understand that the former owner used the rifle as a hunting rifle. In addition, the front sight hood was removed and a bead of weld was attached to the sight blade. The stock was cleaned & modified by a former owner who installed a rubber pad. It is my opinion that following WW11 this rifle was reissued to the Czech military.
